Join Georgie for flowery online demos this Spring

Our cut flower season officially begins on 1st April. Georgie has been able to cut the occasional bouquet from the farm over the last few weeks, but it’s from early April that we start to rely on the cut flower patches to provide everything for the season ahead.
And with the start of the season come our first flower arranging demos of the year! We’ve a host of exciting wedding and event flower demos, including several new ones, to look forward to in a few weeks time, but first it’s the turn of our Living Spring Wreath Demo and our Spring Hand Tied Demo. See below for details of both these sessions.

This week, it’s our first session at the farm of the year, Career Change Flower Farming Workshop. This is one of several opportunities to join Georgie at the farm in 2025.
For our paid subscribers here on Substack, who automatically join our Club, we’ve the last Live At Five session of the term on Thursday, which will be a general question and answer session. This will round up our first term of eleven Live sessions on Substack, with topics ranging from a floristry demo to growing cut flowers in a changing climate to seed sowing and spring prep. (All these sessions, as well as other clips for paid subscribers, are available to anyone new joining a paid subscriber). We are starting a list of topics requested by clubbers and will be planning the new term soon.
Spring is the perfect time to make a living wreath which you can have on a door or a table and watch grow over the days and weeks after you’ve created it. Georgie will show you how to make a twig base, bind with moss, and tuck living plants into the arrangement so that they can grow on. With finishing touches from the cutting garden this will give you a gorgeous welcome for the spring holidays, your Easter table, or just because it’s spring and you feel the urge to get creative even though your garden may not be in full flower yet.
Learn how to make a gorgeous hand-tied bouquet with the classic florist’s twist in this live demo. If you grow flowers for cutting in your garden, then this is a great demo for you to take part in as the season begins. Georgie is a very clear teacher and takes her time to make sure you can replicate every step she takes as she makes one of her own classic bouquets with gorgeous spring flowers. Now is the perfect time of year to learn how to make and wrap a classic hand-tied bouquet with fresh garden flowers, a skill you can then practice all summer long.
(If you want to learn more about cutting and conditioning your flowers too, then our hand tie demo duo bundle might be of interest.)
