Join Georgie for a one-to-one or one-to-two mentoring session, because sometimes you’re looking for special advice, specific help, an overview you would like to talk over in a more personalised session.
Georgie is a successful small business owner, flower farmer, author, vlogger, and has built her business entirely on social media. Common Farm Flowers is very much designed to be a lifestyle business so that it suits her family life and doesn’t run her ragged.
Having founded her business in 2010, and taught and written about flower farming and small businesses almost from the get go, Georgie has become extremely good at helping people identify their own business objectives and create strategies to achieve them. Her friendly and straightforward approach to problem-solving has helped thousands of people over the years.
If you would like to have a focused one-to-one session book a space on one of the mornings or afternoons she’s put aside for you. We'll send you some pre-session questions which will help you start the thinking process before you and Georgie even meet, and so that Georgie can plan a bespoke mentoring session especially for you. You might want to talk about social media, growing flowers, pricing, cashflow forecasting, business planning, or learn specific floristry skills. You don't need to be a flower farmer or florist to join one of these sessions - Georgie has worked with people from many different areas of work over the years.
Meetings can take place over zoom and recordings of the session are included in the price. If you are near enough it's also possible to arrange mentoring at the farm. Depending on your location and Georgie's diary, she may be able to travel to you for the three hour discusssion, but this will incur additional costs.
Whole days sessions may also be possible if this is something you think you could benefit from. These work particularly well, for example, for flower farmers wanting advice on many different aspects of their business from the design of the cut flower patch, to marketing, to pricing and selling.
Please contact us to discuss if these options are something you are interested in.
Many people who've undertaken these mentoring sessions have gone on to book additional follow up sessions with Georgie. We've therefore created a new option for people booking a 1-1 session to add an additional two sessions to their booking (1.5 hours per additional session.) If you wish to add this option to your booking please do so when booking your 3 hour mentoring session. Click here to add this to your order and we will be in touch to arrange dates with you. These additional mentoring sessions are available in very limited numbers and can only be booked when booking one of the main mentoring sessions.
Our mentoring sessions take place from 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5pm.
The price of sessions is as follows:
- 3 hour 1-1 including 30 minute planning call: £395
- 3 hour 1-2 including 30 minute planning call: £350 per person
If you wish to book this as a 1-2 session please book the individual session for £395 and add a note to your booking and we will invoice you for the remaining payment.
There are a very limited number of sessions available each year so do book your session quickly if this is something you are interested in doing.
Here's what previous students have said about Georgie's mentoring sessions:
"Phenomenally useful 1-1 consultation. All killer, no filler! My only regret is not doing it earlier; could have saved a lot of time, money and faffing. Thank you, Georgie - will be back for more."
"A real treat to spend a few hours with Georgie in an online 1:1 mentoring session today - a true expert. There’s nothing she doesn’t know - from advice on how to grow flowers AND make a successful business out of it, to what kit to buy (and what not!), to how to lay out your plot, a great discussion about YouTube and Insta - I could go on. I would highly recommend a session like this if you want to start, but keep going around in circles because of gaps in your knowledge. Thank you Georgie!
"What an inspiring and informative session! Georgie’s tips facilitated some very useful reflection and thought as to how to develop my passion. I have already written a lengthy action list and I am filled with excitement to see if I can scale up my ideas to create a business that would mean I could eventually give up the day job."
I am only at the very beginning of my journey - probably the equivalent stage of ‘selling sweet peas at the gate'! But I’m so glad to have had the blessing of such generous wisdom. Thank you"
"Georgie is a professional, kick ass, warm, no nonsense angel!"
Why do mentoring with Georgie?
Georgie Newbery has been building her small business growing flowers for sale and creating floristry with material she’s grown on the farm since 2010. She is a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Floristry Judge, RHS dahlia trials committee member, and Garden Media Guild New Talent Award Judge.
Georgie does not see other flower farmers and florists as competition, but rather as potential colleagues and collaborators. Georgie knows that it is in her interest to teach her students everything she knows. And she spends a great deal of time talking to other flower farmers and small business owners and learning as much as she can around the subject of running small businesses and farming gardens and small acreage.
There are no secrets held back from you at a Common Farm Flowers demo, workshop or mentoring session.
