Dahlias can be difficult to use in floristry. Join flower farmer and florist Georgie Newbery of Common Farm Flowers for this hand-tie demo using dahlias freshly cut from her own flower field.
RHS dahlia trials judge Georgie will give you top tips for using dahlias for all floristry, as well as demonstrating the ‘florists’ twist’ used to make a hand tie and wrapping in an aqua pack for delivery.
With time for questions, and tips for different varieties, this demo will help you take your dahlias from your garden, with a discussion on their particular demands when cutting and conditioning them and put these gorgeous blooms centre stage in your cut flower arrangements.

This online demo takes place on Zoom, starts at 5pm (UK time) and will last around an hour.
