November tour of Googie's garden in Cumbria
My mother Googie is 83 and three quarters years old and still gardening three quarters of an acre of Cumbrian fell side out of which she has carved a long, triangular garden and into which she has planted a great many trees. When she came here thirty years ago there was nothing but rough boundary hedges.
Whenever I visit her we try and find time for a wander round the garden, a few top tips from her, and a visit to the hedgehog family which lives in a little house under an old wheelbarrow.
